Born in Vereeniging in 1956, taught in a Madressa for four years. After completing a course in broadcasting joined Radio Islam, a community based radio station for four years. Actively involoved in social and youth activities in Roshnee. Very popular MC for function in Gauteng. Regularly presents workshops on public speaking and leadership skills to high school students. Joined Cii in 2001 as an early morning talk show host.
