Channel Islam International, South Africa's leading Islamic radio station, has entered into a content syndication arrangement with Al Jazeera English, the 24-hour news and current affairs TV channel headquartered in Qatar.
As part of the deal, Cii will carry daily news bulletins from broadcast centres in Doha, Kuala Lumpur, London and Washington throughout the day.

According to Cii’s Zahid Asmal : "We see the addition of international breaking news from one of the largest English-language news channels as an opportunity for our global listerners to gain further perspective on the world.
"Offering a truthful worldview, Cii hope that content from Al Jazeera informs and stimulates debate around current issues and events relevant to South Africans as citizens of the world."
Asmal called it “another key partnership for the ongoing evolution of radio broadcast.”
Daily news bulletins from Al Jazeera English (AJE) will be aired on Cii and can also be viewed on Cii’s website as part of a new partnership between the two media groups.
